F117A Stealth Fighter
Originally created for use within publicity material by Lockheed Martin, the creators of the fighter, the artwork was produced to react to the increased interest in the Stealth Project following it's involvement in the Gulf War. Lockheed required an image that would show the general layout of the aircraft without giving too much information away. Having worked in the drawing office of Marconi Weapons Systems, a partner of Lockheed, I was asked to work from supplied information to produce the image, which was, until recently, the only approved Technical Illustration available.
Unfortunately the full colour image shown is is the only copy I now have of the airbrushed artwork, and although poor, should give you some indication of the completed piece.
Should any image be of particular interest, a click on the icon in the bottom right hand corner of the relevant thumbnail will download a High Resolution copy to your computer.
