The client required an illustration that would appear on the label of the recently created Covent Garden Whisky brand, wrapping around the bottle to meet and join seamlessly. The artwork had to have a traditional feel, showing the history of Covent Garden across the image, but also needed to be strong enough as linework to be foil blocked onto the label.

Created as a logo for a chain of high quality, Traditional Greengrocers. The image was used across print and packaging, and also on their fleet of delivery vehicles.

Produced by Chrysalis Books, the Companion Series of small, hardback publications were a set of 12 books, each on a specific subject. The books acted as a compendium of information and interesting stories related to the individual subject. Each cover contained a line drawing relating to the topic.

A sample section taken from a far larger artwork showing the layout of the original Queen Mary liner. The client required an illustration that fitted the era of the ship and so the image was created as a flat side view produced in Line and Wash, a style that would have been used in the 1930's.
